Today has been pretty quiet, the boring weather is back again. Today's little daffodil was one we found sprouting out in the greenhouse that we'd given up on, how strange is this little guy, it doesn't even have any leaves, just a one stem teeny flower x3

Ah I really want a bonsai and especially a maple, the problem is I'm lazy so I want an established one but they are sooo exxy XD

Coming back to this one, you know all I do is find a seedling in the garden, put it is a pot (shallow or not, doesn't matter too much at this stage) and either wait for it to get to the height you want from it or if you like the height it is, nip the top sprouting bud from it, and keep doing it as it tries to regrow a new tip. Nipping the top also encourages new branch growth further down (so that can be the new lead trunk) so that gets some tree-ness about it, and you nip them when they are the height you want too. You don't have to worry about wiring and all that til it's a few years older!

I should give one a go I guess. Would I be able to keep it in my room do you reckon? I've heard you are meant to leave them outside...
Btw just noticed the little barrel pot in the background XD I love that pot!
