Glow Stars
Title: Accidental Star

Summary: Glowing stars stuck on one of the walls of the basement. Jaeseop said it counts as his accident. But there’s this one little star hanging on the silver chain instead.

“Jaeseoppie!!” Kiseop yelled from the living room
No answer from the said boy.
He and Jaeseop decided to visit Jaeseop’s parents for the holiday, and it was their day off.
Jaeseop disappeared a long time ago.
“Jae - Where is he anyways?” He got tired from calling the other.
Kiseop then made his way to the stairs. Jaeseop’s parents went away just a few minutes ago to fetch something, they say. As he was about to climb up the stairs when he notice the door to the basement, it was open. Curious as always, Kiseop quietly peek his head down the stair leading down. It was all dark, no lights. He took a few careful steps down.
“Jaeseoppie…” he breathlessly called
Kiseop tried to look as it was dark and he was still stepping down the staircase. He then heard a familiar voice.
“21, 22, 23…30…” it said
“What the…” Kiseop breath
As his feet got on the ground he glanced around and saw a faint light. He turned around and saw a galaxy and the missing man. Well, just a wall full of glowing stars and Jaeseop. He walked beside the boy as he continued to count.
“45, 46, 47…” Jaeseop said to himself
“What are you doing?” Kiseop asked, his eyes glued on the wall
“Counting.” Jaeseop answer matter of factly
Kiseop gave him a look of ‘I-know-you-are’
“What is this anyway?” Kiseop asked, his eyes went back to the walls
All of the sudden, Jaeseop chuckled making Kiseop look back at him.
Kiseop raised a brow to him. This is probably one of Jaeseop’s secret habits
“This is called ‘Accident Stars’” Jaeseop finally answered the earlier question.
Jaeseop look back at the wall, Kiseop did the same thing.
“Why the name?” the ulzzang asked again
“When I was young, I was prone in accident. First day; bike accident, the next I would fell off the stairs.” Jaeseop explained.
Kiseop’s eye almost popped out of his sockets at the sudden confession.
“D-do y-you mean… all o-of these are you accidents?” Kiseop exclaimed looking back at the walls with a wide eye.
“Yeah… well, my dad found a bunch of glowing stars at my grandmother’s basement. They said it would be fun if we tally my accidents with this.” Jaeseop scratched his not itchy head as he explained further.
Kiseop on the other hand, was gaping at him like a fish; opening his mouth and then closing it again.
Then he exclaimed, “You live in extreme danger man!”
Jaeseop laughed which Kiseop followed suit.
“I was going to show this to you anyways, but then I guess you always find out first.” Jaeseop pointed the wall with his thumb after the laugh died down.
“It’s beautiful.” Kiseop remarked, smiling at him
“I don’t know my accidents and misadventures are beautiful for you?” Jaeseop pointed out making Kiseop giggle again.
They both look back at the wall and marveled at the sight of the plastic stars glowing on the wall.
“Hey can you turn around for a sec?” Jaeseop nudged the ulzzang
Kiseop titled his head but then complied with the others command. He turned around back facing Kiseop.
“I just confess to you a couple of months ago, right?” Jaeseop said. Kiseop nodded.
“Yeah, but then you never said anything after it.” Kiseop said nonchalantly.
Jaeseop didn’t say anything after it. Jaeseop fished out a silver chain from his pocket. He lifted it up and wore it to Kiseop.
Kiseop was shock and he can’t even register what was his lover is doing. He felt the cold chains against his skin.
After placing the necklace, Jaeseop pulled the older boy into a back hug. Kiseop always fit right into Jaeseop’s body, just like a puzzle piece.
After a moment, Jaeseop finally spoke.
“When I met you, I was struck and mesmerized. I think I’ve fallen for you since then… and it was the best accident ever happen to me.” Jaeseop whispered
Kiseop’s heart leaped at the words. He picked the necklace up and looked at it lovingly. It was a Silver Star necklace and his name is engraved on it. He smiled and placed his hands on top of Jaeseop’s.
“Then I guess this star count as one of your accident” Kiseop said, smile never leaving his lips.
Jaeseop nodded as he buried his head on the ulzzang’s shoulder in embarrassment.
“Yes and please accept this star.” Jaeseop said, almost pleading.
He can feel blood rushing on his face. He is totally embarrassed.
“You’re so cute.” Kiseop commented as he gave the cat on his shoulder a side glance.
“Of course I do.” He replied then kissed Jaeseop’s cheecks.
