Yep, it was in Russian :)

Thank you very much, dear! I like these flowers so much, awww! They are so fragile-looking but really tenacious.

I miss you too. I've been on YIM almost every day for the past week, even longer, but as you weren't, I decided that you were busy with RL. Which is good, only I miss you :(

wieder gave me two books by Iyengar, one with lots of pictures :) I'll be going to bed soon 'cos I slept too little yesternight but I hope to catch you on the weekend.

Am reading Hikaru No Go and enjoying it a lot.

*hugs*

(I knew it was in proper Russian, bc I copied it from my post last year :DD I was referring to my neglected, cobwebby LJ.)

I checked IM today - do leave me offline messages if I'm not there. And oh, don't forget to tell me which Iyengar books when we chat. I bought you a present at the Yoga Show (should I send it or wait till our next hols?), but I long to feed you Japanese-style savoury rolls that I have been making trying to make with the aid of my brand new (dead-cheap at 25 pounds!) bread machine :)

Oh, you should tell me everything about this new bread-making thing of yours! :)

Present? What present?

It's v basic UK machine, compared to the super-sophisticated models available in Japan, but in principle, all breadmakers operate in the same-ish kind of way. You put the ingredients (different kinds of flours, yeast, oil or butter, salt, sugar) into a pan, and it kneads the dough and bakes it into a square loaf. There are different settings for French bread, rye bread, even jam. I bought it for the "dough" (knead dough only; don't bake) function, because I wanted the machine to do the hard work (kneading), take the dough out, re-prove it (hee, specialist terminology!), shape it in the way I want (e.g. Japanese-style savoury rolls as above, proper French pain de campagne, etc) and bake it in the oven. It's a v popular activity in Japan, and there are tons and tons of websites, blogs and info out there (almost like a Fandom of Bread Making ( ... )
