So I went ahead and bought two months' of paid account time so livejournal would let me use the mass security tool. I'm glad I did; that $5 instantly changed 2492 entries from public to friends-only

Just an FYI: I believe that in order for people to see friends-only posts, you need to friend them, rather than the other way around. :)

Yeah, I list you as a friend and can't see your posts any more as you don't reciprocate. No reciprocation necessary if you don't want to, but I wanted to say hi!
