my dad is having ridiculous coughing fits to my right. i feel bad. but it also irritates me for some reason. that happens to me sometimes. i get irritated if someone keeps coughing, or if someone keeps sneezing. irrational, i know, especially since it's pretty much involuntary. don't ask me why it happens

I always felt guilty about getting super annoyed with my mom for coughing too. For Robbie it was her dad sneezing. This person you love is suffering and you hate them for it. I don't know why that is, but it seems universal.
