or Finnegans Wake. I read two chapters and dropped it. I think its one of those things you can read two chapters a year for the rest of your life because you will always get drastically different things out of it. I ponder whether he was playing a prank on the literary world.

I keep meaning to read Dubliners. Are these college classes? Man am I jealous. I would love to take classes like that. Go to college. My boss wants me to, but I see big red danger letters all over it. For me, for me.

I actually have a seperate journal by my bed that I write in also. A little more personal information. I like LJ because its handy. I'm at work and I have a thought and typing goes a lot faster than handwriting. Plus its really nice encountering other writers on here, having people recommend books, music, etc. So hi and post again soon. :~)

your writing style sounds a lot like mine. i just wrote and revised if necessary. it seemed unnecessary to start with a rough draft, and the idea of beginning with an outline is contrary to how i think.

i have yet to read anything by james joyce, though every bloomsday i tell myself i am going to read ulysses, so far it has been too daunting for me.

salut!
you know, part of tapping into the left side of your brain requires just writing and writing and then after everything's done, revising it.
i'm trying to do more this kind of thing. i'm keeping a notepad on my computer at home and trying to do this. but when it came to essays, i would do the same thing as you.
although, i am not quite as cool as you, of course.
