Oh wow I looked in the baby section the other day for baby blankets and didn't see those....are they in the domestics section?
Yeah if they are sick and you have petsmart take care of them, you have to sign them back over to them...they take them to their cheapo crappy vet (well I am not sure if they are but that is always my impression LOL) this is what I was told when I got my gerbils. I was like...oh hell no I'll take them to my work, thanks...haha.
Sounds like a URI and eye infection or just a crusty eye from the respiratory stuff. Try a warm wash rag to clean the eye if possible. I have no idea what they do for G. pigs or what antibiotics they can be on. But I'm sure it will be a simple fix. Poor piggies!
I'm not sure what the domestics section is, but if that is the section with all the sheets and such, yes that is the section I found them in. Make sure you wash them first! I thought, ah I'm not gonna wash them. Well their pee didn't soak in. Like there were puddles all over the place! I was perplexed because I was pretty certain it was the same brand as the Christmas ones I got. So I washed them to see if that helped and I haven't seen any more puddles LOL.
Hannah had a great suggestion. I went to a fabric store today and got a bunch of sheets of fleece in the scrap bin for cheap! Not as cute but WAY cheaper!
Poor babies. Rusty poor little eye keeps gluing shut. I keep taking a warm paper towel and getting the goop off so he can see. I'm just so happy they weren't any sicker. I'm about to make an LJ entry about it all even though I gave a synopsis on FB.
Thank you and yeah I ended up taking them to my own vet. I'm about to make an entry.
And thanks for the suggestion of the scrap bin! I didn't know about that. I got like 4 or 5 pieces and it was a dollar a yard so it was only like $4 something! I think the woman may have measured wrong now that I think about it, because I think it should have been more. Way cheaper than those blankets haha!
