I don't understand why eye products are so freaking pricey. Even for pets. We have this lubricating gel here and it's like $30 bucks. I need it for my rabbit's eyes....I checked around for something similar and it's still over $12 at Safeway. And the bottle lasts about a week. I don't get why it's so much money.

Well I THINK it's because it's a newer drug. That's why when I go to the doctor I always ask for generic first. But apparently that aren't any generic drops that will help me. I guess Restasis is the only one of it's kind :( It's ridiculous the way it comes packaged. Instead of just being in a container like all eye drops are, it's in individual little droppers. It makes me ill to waste so much of it. It says to use once and discard. I did that at first and then I just couldn't stand it. There are at LEAST 6 total drops in these little containers. I only have to put one in each eye, and my eye with the sty isn't getting one right now. So I've started just putting the little vial upright in the cabinet and getting it back out and using it again and there are STILL drops left in it when I throw it away. I'll probably get some eye infection doing that, but I just can't stand to throw so much away. I'm going to try to keep getting it at the same time every month and then by using it this way I will have extra every month left ( ... )
