Things are starting to feel more like they were last summer, in terms of the hang out times with friends, and I enjoy every minute of it. I keep on remembering that I'm going back to school in 8 days and that's a little bit of a slap in the face from reality. But everything will be okay because even old friendships are getting stronger and with ( Read more... )

yeahhh case for christ is REALLY good. when i first got it and looked at it, it looks like its a textbook or something, but its written so well. it's not written like a textbook but more like a novel. its really good and i think it will help me a lot because sometimes my faith gets weak because i'm so logical. and applying logic to God is detrimental sometimes. so this will be good for me :D

Hey I'm reading that book too! I'm over halfway through it thanks to many many hours of free time cooped up in a car last week, and it is very good. It's answered a lot of questions I've often thought about and has shed some light on things I had no idea about - it really makes me feel like I'm not just blindly putting faith into religion. After attending my first family funeral and having my entire family shocked by the news of his death, a reinforcement of my faith such as this book is crucial to me.

Also, after stating that the New Testament was the most historically preserved and accurate ancient literature, and proving its reliability with both non-religious and religious history and archeology, it made mention that the events in the Book of Mormon had absolutely no mention or reinforcement at all, and from a historical view is considered a fictional work. I found that pretty amusing.

oo that's cool that you're reading it too. i'm not very far into it because unfortunately, reading is pretty much the last leisure activity that i would choose. but i hope to finish it eventually. i think it will help me like crazy because i too have some trouble having faith when sometimes its completely illogical. anyway, glad to hear you're reading it.

and yeah, i think the book of mormon is pretty messed up when it blatently says in the bible that the bible is the one and only word of god.
