Of the dormant persuasion

So I went on a quest yesterday to find an alarm clock without a snooze button (and honestly, as far as I can tell, everyone HATES the snooze button and everyone advises everyone else NOT to use the snooze button, so why do they keep making snooze buttons? Easy novelty, I guess). I searched high and low and finally found a real cheapy (for 5.99) ( Read more... )

um, pianos have 3 pedals. we don't use them continuously like harpists do, but it's not uncommon to use the right pedal.

you are right, I meant to say that you don't use them for accidentals and key changes and whatnot. my main frustration is not in the use of my feet, but rather in the slowed progress that results from having to figure out pedal changes -_- I don't mean to imply that piano is easier, because of course its a different stretch for you to play the black keys, whereas for me an A is always plucked the same whether it's natural, sharp, or flat.

hahahaha i laughed really hard at all the alarm clocks... that is pure insanity.

also, unbunking the beds creates a lot less room... sleeping on the top gives you privacy but its hard to watch tv or get up there when ure really tired... and if you have the bottom it will make you more lazy since it will be closer to reach, and people will sit on your bed if they come over... lol

haha i know! crazy, right? You can definitely come visit my puzzle alarm anytime you so desire ^__^

And thank you, your advice really helped! I decided on the top bunk for privacy, and also hopefully to help me wake up in the mornings, since going back to bed will now include the daunting task of a climb.

P.S. Is your carpet still available? If so, when would you like me to get it?

they make those crazy contraptions becuase if you're like me, you wake up, say "screw it," and don't even bother with the snooze and go right to the off button, thus turning off the clock for good.

no! then you sleep all day! How do you wake up? Maybe you could use a puzzle alarm, too, so that the intense mental stimulation renders all further sleep impossible.

My room mate and I chose bi-level since below the top bunk then affords storage space. I guess I get the bottom bunk with the drawer space. It should work out, and I think we'll be more out of each others hair.

Coffee beakons. Keep perspective, girly.

Yeah, we considered that, and I can definitely see the advantages, but I think we wanted extra floor space in case we have chairs... plus I've always thought bunk beds were super cool and adventurous ^_0
