I'm still largely photo'd out from SoFoBoMo.

I took some pictures at Inks Lake on Sunday morning, but I was pretty photo'd out, and ended up hanging out in bars and coffee shops the rest of the day. That was more of a logistical feat than you might expect. I'd promised not to go home until some time in the evening, so I had to:

a) take clothes and toiletries with me so I could shower at the park after I hiked
b) stay awake while I drove back to Austin

Fortunately, both of those things worked out pretty well, and I spent a total of about 9 hours at the Green Muse and Fado, reading the entirety of Lois McMaster Bujold's new book "Sharing Knife: Passage". It was damn good, though my neck has been hurting ever since. I'm just not used to sitting up and looking down at a table for that long. I don't think I ever have been.

I think this may be the only keeper from Inks Lake. The prickly pear are blooming, but nothing really grabbed me. This thistle, on the other hand, is surreal enough to grab my imagination. I think both fairgoldberry and I will be taking prints to work tomorrow. 10x10 makes it a really HUGE thistle flower, and I got to try out my new roto-trimmer. I'm still loving Ilford Gold Fibre Silk for both color and black and white :)
