Hurray! I'm so pleased for you, sweetheart! I'm glad that you've found someone to share a special bond and many happy times with. I don't think your words were tacky, either. I've been in a relationship for almost five years now and, yeah, I can relate to the 'head spinning with happiness' feeling.

I wish you the very best of luck with house hunting! When I was studying at Sheffield University, I quickly learned that housemate-friend relationships can be quite hard to maintain...
