So, tsukihime_san bribed lenainverse into putting together a few scraps of our crossover WIP that we've been talking up a storm about (yes, the one with Hei/Conrart) and Lena was kind enough to forward me the post she made so I could post it here as well. Please keep in mind that none of this has had any more editing than a cursory look over (if that) and a spell check

My favourite line(s):

The corner of Hei's mouth twisted into an amused smirk, but then snapped back into place like a bit of rubber set on its natural shape. Hei played Li so well - and Li played Hei just as well. It was impossible to tell which was real and which the disguise. Only his eyes gave any clue, and only when the light shifted just so.

I can tell that there is a difference, but I'm afraid I don't know either of your styles well enough to be able to tell which is which. ^____^

ISN'T IT! It's all Lena's brainchild. Best idea she ever came up with :D

I'm rather found of those sets of lines myself <3 And it's good to know a distinction can be seen in the writing. We'll have to work to smooth those out in the edits.

I love every line of this preview. The only regret I have now is that I noticed it too late for my brain to coherently express my gratitude and happiness!
I will reread it tomorrow - so I can enjoy each sentence and imagine each scene perfectly.

This is really intriguing - I think I should get around to watching more of Darker than Black so I can understand it better, but Conrad's dialogue is very powerful.

You should! But only because I think the show holds its own even though it does pack a lot of information into each story arc.
