Confession? Started painting again for the first time in five years.

Inspiration? I've been wanting to get something unique and special for my mother - what better item than a painting from my own hands?

Challenge? It's a work in process right now, but see if you can tell what it's going to be. If you're right, you get a gold star :)

Thanks :) Probably another week and it should be done. I'm gonna try and photograph my progress as a little experiment...

Hmmmm, think you could name that breed for qualification in to the sudden death round and a chance to win TWO gold stars? :)

I have my gold star on my forehead :) I've always wanted to do that.

Oh boy, I am so bad at figuring out doggie breeds (I couldn't even tell you my parents' dog's breed) even if this was a photo of the dog I couldn't tell you, but it certainly looks familiar to me, SO, in other words YOU ARE DOING A SUPERB JOB. :( No 2 gold stars for me, but you should wear it on your forehead for being a super artist :)

I think it rocks...I wish I could have come up with something to paint for my mom. I'd planned to, for her birthday last year, but froze up from anxiety and ended up not coming up with a damned thing. Oh well, there's always this year.

I hear ya - I've been wanting to paint a picture for my mom but everytime I sat down something came up...like having to dust the moldings in the apartment or brushing my rat's teeth :/

But seeing my mom in her current state kinda spurred me into action. It's her fav breed and I was intending to get her one for her anniversary in December - but given her health it's an impossibility. So I'm going to immortalize one for her :)
