i love this. i love all the details. i love the name game, the history of joe/jack, the midlife superman crisis, the growing up. gina. &, omg, you put my CAT and my LIVING ROOM into the story. MY LIVING ROOM, BB. holy fuck.

(By the way, the you in the story couldn't be you you, because you kept wanting to stick around and do stuff. Like, in one memorable draft, call the cops. You are a very action-oriented person, even in character form. I had to use a zombie-you.)

(btw, I also made sure no one cried. Not that my stories tend to have people crying, except maybe in the unattractive-with-snot variety, but still.)

omg, hahahaha, YES, i kept thinking, "at this point i'd call the cops," or "at this point, he'd not be my roommate anymore!" or "at this point, i'd be eavesdropping and taking bets on livejournal w/r/t making out violently!"

i DO in fact have that coffee table, although it is really a steamer trunk, and i painted over most of the nailpolish with black. BUT WAY TO GO calling my character, dude, fr rl!!!!

So I just happened to stumble across this fic as I was looking for Empire fics and HOLY CRAP. As a fan of both Empire and CSI: Miami, this was like christmas. I-I can't even tell you how much I loved it. It would just end up being CAPS LOCKED KEYSMASHING HEARTMARKS ♥.
