My weekend...well, the weekend was great as usual...well, great for Ottawa; I really have to party it up big time in the US - well, Toronto is much more feasible right now.

I barely ever drink (and I am a non-smoker), but Friday and Saturday I ended up having slushies...it was so humid out here that I gave into temptation - as usual ; however, ( Read more... )

Did you have any problems with skin elasticity when you lost all that weight?

They had a guy on a TV show here in the US who lost a lot of weight (80 or 100 pounds, I think) and his whole stomach was just a bunch of flabby skin and he had to have plastic surgery...

Not really...at first I did, but I guess all the ab workouts (and I say ab workout, not the plural form - lol) tightened everything up a lot. I actually have abs, but they are not that well defined as I want them to be. I will only work harder and harder and harder!

I think I am pretty lucky!

You are. Congratulations!

And it's good you lost it now, before major health problems set in. Did you have a warning from your doctor or something?

Thx buddy

HAHA...funny story...as I have worked in the medical field for 3 years and am planning to return to it (if you read my previous post), I did not go see a doctor throughout the whole period; however, diabetes runs in my maternal family, and so I didn't want to die and not see my 30th b-day or be on insulin for the rest of my life.

I guess being 22 has many advantages...stamina, partying, and elstin and collagen working its best!

I remember the first guy I ever had a "long-term" relationship with... he was a cute, skinny "pretty-boy" type when I first met him. But after he and I started dating, he said he wanted to start working out. It was partially out of insecurity, I think... he saw how other guys looked at me, he knew how he looked at me, and he didn't want to feel left out. I think he also saw it as an oppertunity, because he knew that I knew what I was doing, and would be a good instructor.

So I started working out with him. And he got a really hot, perfectly toned, tight bod... not bulky at all, but muscular enough that his muscles were all perfectly outlined under his smooth skin.

And I remember one time we were at a club together, and he had been talking with some muscular guy dancing next to him that he had just met. Then, my boyfriend came up to me and was all excited.
him: You know what that guy just said to me!?
me: What?
him: He said, "My legs are kinda sore, 'cuz yesterday was legs day at the gym. You know."
me: Yeah... so?
him: He said ( ... )

Greg,

I would totally love to have a gym buddy, and you would definitely be able to show me a thing or two!

You will never know how it feels to hear your first compliment about being buff, ripped, hard, tight, or whatever unless you were big previously. I guess the first time you heard it would be amazing too, but as you mention, I was in a totally different "class" previously, and it feels great not to be in it now; however, there really shouldn't be this separation. It really is a confidence booster to tell you the truth. Bigger people are looked upon as not caring about themselves, and it really isn't true. It's extremely difficult to start off, and maintaining is even harder until you reach a certain point. I can still eat a large pizza, but things are different now. I lead a more active lifestyle.

Do you agree with me that it doesn't look as though I was big? I used to weigh 261 pounds.

I'll post a little l8r tonight - to be continued

That is extremely cute of your ex, and Greg, I thank you for sharing that with me...I guess I'm not the only one!

As I told you in your LJ tonight, you are damn fine. At first Greg, I thought you were hot, and as time progresses and I get to know you more and more, I LOVE your PERSONALITY (lol - both of them!!! ). In all honesty, you are hot, you are down to earth, you are extremely creative, and you have a body that I only wish to possess one day (both be sculpted like you and to have one day or a weekend lol). I am extremely attracted to your total package ;)

Your casual pic is great...I would definitely love to have/see another one.

I never would have guessed.

BTW, can you STILL not see my entry from yesterday? You're on my friends list... you should be able to see it now.
