Back from Abruzzo where we spent 12 very happy days.

Dust is just settling, I've been reading LJ on my phone via agriturismo wi-fi.

I didn't read as much as in previous years, possibly because of trying to improve my Italian.

My son (in throes of Biology revision for GCSE exams) confessed that he has been trolling commenting on anti-evolution message boards.

He has a robust attitude.

I haven't channelled my inner 17-year old (musically speaking) for a while, but I heard this song by Jake Bugg on the radio the other day, and loved it. Yes, he's the secret love child of The La's and The Coral, but that's never a bad thing. This is a lovely wee song about escaping your roots.

I have been making jewellery again, this time with silver and dichroic glass.

Sigh.

I would really, really like to buy a glass kiln, but it's tiny bit hard to justify.

Here's my favourite so far. Fused glass on a fine silver Byzantine bracelet.
