So apparently they are making a feature film version of the 70s tv series "Welcome back, Kotter." Now, this was a bit before my time, but I do remember from childhood reruns that Kotter was this idiosyncratic, white, Jewish guy. To play the role in the film they've casted . . . Ice Cube.

. . . I imagine some adaptations have been made.

there's no way ice cube would play horshak in a remake. that would totally ruin the character.
