Now! I must ask for some chemistry advice, and please forgive my naive computer science-y mind, with an eye toward RF. Is there a material that you could point me to (piezoelectric, shape memory alloy, etc., in sheet/foil/plate form, that can be deformed to an arbitrary shape? What I'd like is a smart material that I can "address" a charge to a particular X-Y coordinate on its surface and have only a local mechanical effect (like a z-axis deformation).
Hrmmm ... can't help you on that one unfortunately. That area is not my specialty. I signed up for a class back in college would probably would have helped me out with that question, but than I dropped it to pursue that pesky music degree I wanted.

Oh, and since I read your journal all the time anyway, I'm gonna save myself the extra effort and add you as a friend ... aren't you honored?? :-p
