Ways this could end without being traumatizing
1). Aradia goes back in time and fixes. Um. Everything. Which would actually be really interesting seeing that the kids have had multiple conversations with trolls from this timeline (Karkat's frantic contact with John comes to mind), so the kids would still have memories of the trolls from a doomed timeline.
2). They are all secret rainbowdrinkers.
3). They are NOT ACTUALLY DEAD just BLEEDING PROFUSELY HAHAHAHAHA
4). The Scratch resets absolutely everything for both timelines and they like...start over? That doesn't gel so well with my Earth-created-Alternia-created-Earth double-reacharound theory, but whatever, that was kind of depressing anyway. Then again...so is this one. Dammit.
5). They somehow...pull everyone who is dead out of the afterlife? I DON'T KNOW the Furthest Ring has physical boundaries okay???
6). OH new one that was probably obvious, John said SEE YOU SOON. So they have to SEE THEM SOON. They have to be alive to plan this unless John is talking about going to their past which doesn't make any sense. Right??? RIGHT!!! Or they're in dream bubbles whatever. "Savior of the Dreaming Dead"
