I've become what I despise.

So, I watched the Emmys tonight because the Emmys used to be a ZOMG event. I mean Conan was hosting, and there was to be Bradley Whitford/Matthew Perry squeeing. I had to watch ( Read more... )

I agree/disagree. Alot of shows are poorly written, or theres too much reality crap. And alot of shows are so complicated its too hard just to watch whenever you want. And alot aren't character dramas (CSIs and Law and Orders). And wonderful shows like Arrested Development (which was incredibly well written and so funny) get cancelled cause people are stupid and watch other crappy shows.

West Wing and Friends are my favorite shows ever. RIP to them. But I think LOST is incredible and so different than anything else on tv (but you have to have seen them all). I never watch House, but what I saw was pretty interesting. Weeds is fabulous if you have Showtime. DH needs some work. And shows like The Daily Show and Colbert are incredibly smart.

I go through love/hate periods with TV. Lost has me loving it again. After Friends ended I was all "theres nothing to watch!" And I hate thost tv elitist. They're all "oh, I don't watch tv" Like, STFU. Oy.

Weeds! I forgot about Weeds! I love that show, but I never think of it as tv since I don't have showtime and have to watch the downloaded versions on my computer. Yay! Another Weeds fan! And of course I'm a fan of Stewart and Colbert. I mean, how could anyone NOT be? Didn't mean to diss your Lost. I really tried with that one. Really, I did. Rented the entire DVD collection, but I couldn't get into it. I do think it's clever, just not my cup of tea. And at least the fans aren't ZOMGLOST!!!!1111!!one!1 like the annoying Grey's fandom.

Gah, I can't stand Grey's. Tried it and didn't like it at all. I totally understand not liking Lost. Well, sort of. Its just so complicated and you really have to work at it, and the characters arent very sympathetic and the writing isn't as fabulous as others. But it does attract usually a higher intellect of people, which is a plus. Like WW. I loved that the people I talked about WW episodes with the next day were my teachers and my mom's friends, and not annoying Dawsons Creek teenagers. Bleh.

Gah, I love Weeds. I just started watching it and I bought the DVDs right away and my dad got me two free months of Showtime so I can see it. Yay!
