I can't give you any advice on NC either, but I just wanted to say hi from a fellow academic--my boyfriend & I are both finishing up our PhDs right now, and I'm currently looking for postdocs. Many congrats to J, and to you too, on the move.

Good luck with your postdoc hunt! I'm relieved to have that part done for him, now I will have to find a job... luckily I'm in Human Resources so those aren't to hard to find.
