Feedback please

W-a-y too long ago, I posted and earlier version of this pamphlet aimed at partners of trans people. Then life happened as it usually does and it fell on the back burner. But I've got a bit more free time these days so I went back to it. I've already run it by a few people I know in the real world but I was hoping others on here could take a look ( Read more... )

Also! I would strongly recommend a brief "my partner just came out to me as trans or trans-curious. now what?" section.

It would say something along the lines of:

take a deep breath, don't panic. It doesn't mean she/he doesn't want to be with you. Educate yourself as much as possible. Try to find support groups in your area and take time to reflect on what this means for you. at the same time, you want to be the best ally for your partner as you possibly can. That's what this pamphlet is for, to help you navigate this journey with your partner in a way that is helpful to you both.

Hmm... this is good food for thought. Thank you.
I don't know that I want to make it a separate section but I think it couldn't hurt to include a sentence or two in the introduction including this point.

That's exactly what this pamphlet is intended to be, a "heads up". Something that can be found in more spaces and more immediately accessible than other larger resources, which are either limited in availability location or daunting because they pack so much information ( ... )
