so i thought i should mark this moment in my life, since i detail so many other insignificant events. america elected its first black president. is this really happening? i am only 23 (just as of this week) and i am seeing this so soon in my lifetime? amazing. i am so proud of 53% of americans today. i can respect a portion of the other 46%, and

yeah, it was amazing. i have never seen anything so joyous in my entire life. everyone was still talking about it last night at work, and today, i was subbing, and the 2nd graders were talking about it, and teachers in the work room... this is definitely one of the most monumental events in a while for many americans.
