I managed to focus enough time to read the new Potter book and actually not feel as though I rushed. What a wonderful book! I can hardly wait to discuss it with the rest of you.

Now... back to The Stand. I can do it. I can do it. I can do it.

I've been going back and reading specific bits over the last few days to catch more details. I only felt there were a few major lame-nesses in order for Rowling to make he plot work together. Mostly a very well thought out plot, and highly enjoyable (although of course the teenagers are far too whiny).

After conquering The Stand, I want to go back and reread all of the Potter books again. For the most part, I thought Rowling did a great job keeping the book moving and not falling into too many trappings. The teenagers are most definitely behaving like "teenagers" in many cases. ;)
