mono, lulu lemon and laptops

For those of you wondering, I am surviving the super cold weather and even look forward to days when it's only going to be -15. The bad news is that K has the mono virus and is in his second week of extreme fatigue, though thankfully the monster hives have disappered and the fever is not so bad. The hope is that somehow i will not get it, though unless i already carry antibodies, I likely will. So, sick boy bought a laptop so he can work on his papers and such from bed, where he spends most of his time. I spent the weekend working at the gigantic lulu lemon warehouse sale, and what an extravaganza it was. Crazed shoppers grabbing armfuls of items, dumping them on the floor and soring through what they think they might buy. Today the sale was rather good at 5 items for $100, so I ended up pooling my resources with a fellow worker and grabbing a few things for myself. Consumerism is an interesting aspect of human behaviour and i was constantly amused by lost looking men with cellphones taking orders from their girlfriends, or middle aged men carrying dozens of items for their (pre) teen daughters. My parents would've had none of it: stand in line for how long and then another line to try on and yet another to purchase? Seriously, people lined up around the block at times just to get in the store.
