A friend's posting on Facebook reminded me of the wonderful Herbert McCabe's comment that:

I get quite frustrated sometimes. Between Cardinal O'Brien and Richard Dawkins I feel like jumping up and down on a table shouting "OI! EVERYONE SHUT UP! Good. I am now in charge and we are going to think that millions of people not having clean water is more important than shagging between consenting adults *and* we are going to stop thinking that billions of people are morons because their metaphysics differs from yours. Did you see Upstairs, Downstairs last weekend? Emilia Fox and Alex Kingston as not-so-secret lesbian lovers, I approved muchly of the casting.
