SO, two bands I'd love to see, Menomena and The Black Angels, have just passed through town. Both bands seem to play here all the time and both are leaving the west coast for North American/European tours and won't be back for a while. I"m pretty sure both bands are only gonna get bigger, better, more popular, and harder to see at an intimate venue ( Read more... )

I went by the Seattle Folklife festival tonight and realized that this place is nothing like home.
And holy shit its cool.
We just walked around and got some mango lemonade, really just people watching. 
It was a pretty similar to most 'fests I've been to back home except for a few things :

I got The Botany of Desire instead, which, I've really been wanting to read.
