Clearly, I still love Mad Men! Episode 3 was better than episode 2 IMO and I can't wait to see what happens next. I love these characters and I want to know more about them.
In other TV news, I've watched two pilot episodes recently.
Pushing Daisies
Overall, I loved the pilot of PD. Two minor points though: the voice overs were so freaking annoying! There were so many of them that they took away the charm of some important scenes - when Ned is about to kiss Chuck for example. And maybe it's because I live in France (I'm sure it doesn't help that I've seen Jeux d'enfants not so long ago), but I've realized that I'm a bit bored with the "Amélie Poulain" style now. I still like it - after all, I'm still a big fan of Jean-Pierre Jeunet (among other things, I've noticed a music from Delicatessen in the scene where Chuck's aunts are sitting on the couch) - but I don't like it as much as before. Then again, overall I thought it was a great pilot episode, it has everything I like in Brian Fuller's shows.
Bionic Woman
Well, if I had to list the minor points of this show, there would be more than two ;) An ordinary young woman has to deal with her new extraordinary abilities. It could have been fun like Buffy. It's not. She has to deal with a secret military organization. It could have been exciting and suspenseful like the early seasons of Alias. It's not. There were so many things that bothered me in the plot of this show. I'm sure it could get better, but after watching the first episode I just don't feel like watching the next ones.
