It's not that fun when you are just tagging along a group who are already familiar with each other's diving capabilities. I have to admit I'm also a spoiled brat diver. I ( Read more... )

I rented a BCD and reg for P500 so in total, I spent around P4K for an overnight stay. Planet Dive charges more because of its fixed rates I think.

for the lessons its around 10k plus the license, then you have to pay for the resort fees, boats, tanks.

you were there at anilao last weekend? i was there too. which resort did you stay in?

i've got my open water dive licence...i just haven't gone a dive since i got it in 2001, suddenly the coral reefs weren't at arms reach and i was stuck in the city.

I always stay in Planet Dive, really good DMs. Sometimes it happens to me too (feel like puking)when the waves are choppy. Best thing to do is to board the bangka immediately after surfacing. I'm guessing but I think you went to Pany's Point ,it's one divesite that you are sure to see rays (blue spotted) and eels (the garden variety). Maybe we can dive together soon :-)

Thank you for the tip. I wasnt able to log my four dives (the headache really got into me), I've yet to get the time elapsed from one of the divers but I didn't remember us going to Pany's point. We went to Mainit and Bubbles(?) where the main attraction are the hotsprings underneath but yes I saw plenty of eels. I dont remember the color of the sting rays I saw. Yes, I hope so. But as of now I can only do Sunday day trips.
