I feel like it's really true that you'll llose friends as you grow older. Priorities shift, even the distance makes it harder to reconnect.

the last paragraph says what i feel too. the closest friends are drifting further and further and we don't get to meet often.

as what every one else said in their comments up above...sometimes it does get up to that point where certain friends take sudden absences in your life. i for one finds it hard to trust people easily too. it's kind sad to know that the ones you trust are hardly there anymore.
