PDI's editorial today:

The people who promoted the ill-starred show may not know it (but how could they not have known it?), but they were actually exploiting the poor to build higher ratings. there was no shoving, pushing and camping out for days outside Powerbooks stores for Neil Gaiman event because people aren't there to win anything and aren't too fanatical enough to do it. They are neither hungry, nor poor. This is a totally different matter. We are talking about game shows causing stampedes not a celebrity event being flocked by thousands of eager fans.
