After much delay, and much ado, I realize I am called to Buddhism. I am called to it because it resonates within me in a way that often brings me to tears

The main thing that draws me to it...oh, there's so many things. BUt the top thing would be it's practicality. For me, personally, there are mantras and ideas that I can cling to daily--hourly--that seem to pull me up more than Christianity ever did.
Also, I love the way it is skeptical and non-inclusive. Buddhism says to test out Buddhism and see if it works--and if it doesn't, to take the bits that make sense and look elsewhere. Buddhism maintains that for some people, other religions/ways make more sense...and that those people should, then, NOT adopt Buddhism.
Buddhism tells me of a wise and perfect universe. Buddhism's goal is to eradicate suffering and bring people together in peace.
In truth, many of the same principles apply to Christianity; there are many parallels. For example, Buddhism has a "10 commandments!"
But Buddhism, to me, more fully explains to me life, this world, death, the future, the universe, etc. In Buddhism, I find refuge and power...more power than I have ever felt in the arms of the Christian
