Now that House is up to date, other t.v. shows I'm tempted to watch, perhaps all the way through, in order, but shouldn't because it's just more escapism really but I feel like what else do I have to do ( Read more... )

I enjoyed Undeclared from what I saw of it (is along the lines of freaks and geeks, but set at university).
And Wonderfalls. To add to your list. :-)

Definitely my-so-called life. :-) Went through that stage of borrowing them all from the library and watching them in a day or two. heh... Now I usually watch all the B movies and the wonderful buster keaton on Google Video, because a vast majority of them are public domain. B movies, totally awesome wonderful way to waste time. lol.

Dead like me(?), I think that's what it's called.
Also alright. :-)

I already know I like MSCL..I've probably seen most of it too, years ago on MTV. I've also probably seen about half of Wonderfalls, considering so few episodes aired. Undeclared I've never seen.

Definitely Freaks & Geeks and My So-Called Life. Also, I really loved Dead Like Me as well (as suggested by the person above, but I don't know if you've already seen it...). If not, I think you'd really like the dark humour in it.

Start with F&G though! You won't regret it.

I saw one ep. of Dead Like Me in a hotel room (we don't get premium channels at home), and it seemed good. And I've prob. seen a good amount of the eps. of F&G and MSCL already..but I want to watch them all in order.

I LOVED Joan of Arcadia, but if you do watch it, be warned that it ends on a cliffhanger. The produce didn't know whether it would be renewed or not, so she decided to forge ahead with her storyline even though the chance of cancellation was high. I still get bummed every time I think of that unfinished story. :(

That totally sucks. But at least I can hopefully be prepared for it now. How long did the show last? I thought it was really popular..why was it not renewed?

The show lasted two seasons. It *was* quite popular, but the reason NBC gave for nixing it was that it wasn't reaching the "targeted demographic" of teens and young adults -- middle-aged people were watching it instead. It was really frustrating, because the show ran at 7/8 pm Friday nights, so if they wanted the teen/YA audience, they should have run it on a different night. I wish they would have experimented with different times rather than just cutting it . . . or just accepted the audience it did have rather than wringing their hands over not reaching a *different* audience, but, alas, it's all water under the bridge now and this is probably much more than you needed to know. :p

What do they care WHO's watching it as long as people are? Ugh, they cancel all the best shows. I ordered the first disc of it from netflix tonight.
