I'm always the last one to get into things.

With that being said, there was definitely no exception with the Twilight saga.

I heard about the books last year from Erin. I was trying to find a good book to read and she recommended those. But she didn't have them at the time or something, so I never read them. Anyways, then the movie came out and I heard about all the hype and yada yada....

So I was always interested... I decided to get the movie from netflix and ended up watching it twice in one day and another the next day. Sad, I know. haha

Anyways, I got Twilight on Monday. And I finished it last night. Roughly 500 pages in two days, I don't think I've ever done that before. I started New Moon today, but I'm forcing myself to only read it on my lunch hour, and maybe a little at home. That way I can make it last longer. It's sooooooooo hard though! I swear it's like a drug. Well, reading alltogether is like a drug to me. And it is especially no different with the Twilight saga.

It's almost like I try to stay away from reading because I get so consumed by it. Once I pick up a book I'm into, I never want to put it down. I think about it all day and night. Then when the book is done I feel so empty. And I need more!! Like a drugggggg! Then I'm consumed by that book, until that's over....

At least with Twilight it was comforting to know I could start New Moon as SOON as I finished Twilight. Erica has them all except for the first one so we traded last night.

After finishing the first book, my conclusion about the movie is overall I think they did a good job. During the first half of the book I was going back thinking about the movie and I was so mad. I was pissed they left so many crucial moments out between Edward and Bella, and that they changed so many little things. But as the book went on I realized that there is no way to ever put that whole book into one movie. Even if they had made it a 3 1/2 hour long movie like I had wished. There is no possible way to make a complete movie out of the books because of the thoughts going through Bella's mind. So personally, I think they did alright with the movie by combining so many parts into one bigger part.

And for any other Twilight lovers out there, I think you might like this book called When You Believe. I have it at home. It's by a local author out of Danville actually. I know there are 2 more books after it. I loved it when I read it last year so I'll have to make sure and get the others off Amazon. Note to self.
