What type of stud do you wear and what maintanence did you practice?
When I added the 2nd & 3rd ear-piercings, my grandmother would wipe a bit of minyak gamat on it. It seems to have worked, and I can go on for months w/o wearing earrings and it won't close. :D
As for the belly button, the piercer recs a light cleaning with saline water as it helps dries up the wound. My cousin and a friend tht didn't do ended up w a nasty infection. All ya gotta do is buy some contact lens solution.

previously, i just used to make sure it was dry (when i couldn't/didn't take off the stud) and put some dettol cream on it.

after the infection, i saw the doctor. he gave me some solution to clean the area. i'm not sure what it is but it smells like chlorine. and also some cream to put on it. and antibiotics to eat.

the problem is, all these antibiotics and cream things are making the piercing heal so fast. i keep having to make sure it doesn't close completely and that's painful T___T thought about getting those stick thingies to just put there, but don't think the infection can handle it :(

Hmm...my grandmother used a type of weed...do you know the ones that grows on fields and stick to your pants and you have to pull those suckers off? Try wear those?
