you are way too kind, woman. it's funny, as much as dean is my favorite sam is the one i hear most clearly and i think that speaks to how well they portray the sibling dynamic on this show. but thank you for this, it's a lovely way to start off the morning and i'm really glad you of all people enjoyed it. :*
Maybe he wouldn’t feel this way, if he hadn’t come so close to losing everything. He sees it in flashes. Dean in a hospital bed. Sleepless nights spent looking for something, anything because for all the things he CAN do, losing his brother is the one thing he can’t. He knows loss, the taste and touch and smell of it, lingering around them like a storm that refuses to pass. He knows, too, that he can’t let it write the finale of this story. He can take a lot, but there’s no other ending to accept here but victory. such an awesome paragraph, just wow, I love reading post-faith fics, and it's nice to see Sam's point of view changing somewhat. Very good story :)
i think they capture the way the baby of a family always sort of takes his role for granted really well on this show, and i think sam keeps seeing bits and pieces of what dean has sacrificed to give him that kind of security, and appreciating his brother more. so yes, i'm glad that worked. :) thank you!
