I loved, loved, loved Berlin, but I can't think of anything you have to see. For reference, there was a good bagel place over in the East (near the Volkesbühe, station was Rosa-something I think), called Bagels & Bialys. Good vegetarian range and reasonable prices, just a little hole in the wall near the Häckenhescherhöfe (I think it's called) and where the Berlin International Short Film Festival is held. Going up the TV-Turm at Alexanderplatz is touristy, but you get an awesome view of Berlin from there ( ... )

and i figured my friends have enough german between them to mask the fact that i can only lick faces & drink beer! will keep your tips in mind, especially the tv tower.... i love being above the city, and below it. as for the bagels, i've been told that berlin is full of tasty vege treats which will make a nice change from bavaria which was just sausage sausage sausage and potatoes!
