I'm definitely interested in cooking-related hangouts. But the real trick for me is going to be getting myself motivated to cook when it's just for myself. Even if I don't do it all the time, I'd like to do it a bit more. It could involve making a bunch of stuff on a Sunday to eat over the course of the week (there's an interesting set of suggestions for how to do this in the original Moosewood cookbook that I might try), or coming up with more fast and easy stuff that I'll actually fix for myself on a busy night.

Since I don't use leather a lot of my shoes wear out in other places besides the soles, which means resoling isn't that helpful. But I used to do it, in the past, and it can be a good idea.

It's not that anybody is out to get me. I don't mean to imply by locking my journal that there's anything incredibly sensitive in there or that I need to protect myself from somebody or anything like that. I have my reasons, but it would kind of defeat the purpose of making my journal friends-only if I outlined them here. If anybody wants to start a livejournal account and add me as a friend I'll be happy to let them read it, unless I have a good reason not to add that particular person. And if anybody wants to contact me and ask me about my reasons for locking it they're welcome to.
