i miss taec/jay interactions and banter. this isn't really slash. drabble :)
what was and will be
jay practices his part in the bathroom.
"it's only you my baby it's only you~"
abruptly, taecyeon opens the door.
"huh" taecyeon says.
brushing past jaebum to brush his teeth, taecyeon keeps eyeing jaebum through the mirror.
"dude, what?" asks jaebum.
his singing practice is ruined.
"nothing."
"dude. seriously. what?!"
"you sound...a little pitchy."
"wow. really? coming from you?"
the diss doesn't bother taec, he just keeps gargling then spits.
"you sound like kim jong gook sunbae."
"shut up. i sound like a mosquito?"
"okay maybe one pitch lower. but that's it."
"taec..."
"alright. you have better english pronunciation too. feel better?"
"i'm telling kim jong gook sunbae."
taecyeon pales.
"no wait."
"totally telling. don't care what you say."
jaebum plugs his ears and walks out of the bathroom. taecyeon follows after wiping his mouth on the towel. taecyeon grabs jaebum by the shoulder as he walks to the kitchen. when jaebum finally faces him, taecyeon puffs up his chest.
"fine" taecyeon says. "go ahead."
"what?"
"i can take him."
"who? kim jong gook?"
jaebum looks at him from the corner of his eyes.
taecyeon nods.
"pfft"
"really!"
"no kidding" says jaebum. "that was sarcasm by the way."
"just watch me" says taecyeon.

in two months, there's more definition under taecyeon's tee shirts. their coordi nunas complain to minjae hyung about how taecyeon can't wear skinny jeans anymore due to his thunder thighs. in the midst of all this, jaebum keeps quiet.
but jaebum finally loses it when he witnesses taecyeon slurping on a protein shake one morning.
"that's cheating you idiot!"
taecyeon grins. he has a shake moustache.
"so you've been practicing!" says taecyeon cheerfully.
"what?"
"your voice" taecyeon says, wiggling his eyebrows. "sex-ay~"
"shut up, ok dork."
"okay park mosquito but only if you shut up first."
for the rest of the members, ok taecyeon's manic giggling is their wake up call for that morning.
