I formally resigned the leadership position I held with the local ministerium for the past decade or so.  My travel schedule simply doesn't allow me to fulfill those duties any more.  And it's anyway time to see if anyone else is willing to step up to the plate.

No. We elect officers at our June meeting every year. If I didn't announce my resignation, they would have just voted me in again. I had to make it clear that someone else needs to step up to the plate. Otherwise, I'm going to be carrying this thing on my back for another ten years!
