I am amused by recent reports that the Subway Sub Club is going away because of a problem with counterfeit stamps. Yesterday we watched a show on the History Channel about a man who ripped off casinos for hundreds of thousands of dollars by making counterfeit $10, $25 and $100 slot machine tokens and cashing them in. People were also stealing them and selling them on eBay.

I can't say I'm sorry to see the thing finish, since I'm a Sandwich Artist (heh), but the last few weeks, and I'm sure the coming summer months, have been and will be a huuuuuge pain in the arse. All day today I had to tell people, "Sorry, the stamp program is no more, and I can't take your card". Maybe ONE person out of ten said, "Well, okay, it's not your fault", but the rest are all whining and harrumphing and saying, "Well, what am I supposed to DO with my CARD?" ...I don't know, frame it and put it up on the wall, in a house very far away from me?
