So, I come home tonight, having had to park my car three blocks away and walk down, and then up, hills of about a 28% grade, since there was enough snow on the ground that the car couldn't do it (the hills are so steep that it takes verey little snow to make them impassable).
I grabbed a few pieces of candy - two Sunkist Fruit Gems, and three Mary Janes. I unwrap the Fruit Gems, and eat them. I unwrap the first two Mary Janes, and eat them. Then I unwrap the last Mary Jane, put it into my mouth and bite down, and there's a weird "crunch", like I'd bitten a pebble or something. Then I realize that one of my back teeth suddenly has a sharp edge. I got a mirror and a flashlight and confirmed ... yes, I broke a tooth. A back molar.
This sucks. I've never had anything like this happen before. At least it doesn't hurt. And at least I have dental insurance that will pay for most of the inevitable repair. And of course, if the snow ends up as bad as they think it might get, even if I could get a dentist appointment tomorrow, I would not be able to get there. So probably will be at least Monday before I can get this looked at.
