The trouble with TXTLJ

I'd really like to make more use of TXTLJ, it's almost impossible to make any kind of sensible post in less than 160 characters...

does txtlj use text messages to send the post? henare December 22 2008, 08:28:09 UTC
because 160 chars sounds like the limit of a text message.

Yeah, you text something to "TXTLJ" (89855), and it shows up in your journal. If I go over 160 chars, the phone splits it into multiple text messages, and each fragment shows up as a separate post. Bummer that LJ can't figure out that that has happened, and concatenate the fragments into a single post. Most of the time when I want to post via text, I am only over by 10 or 20 chars....
