Tom Shear always succeeds to get my full attention, both musically and lyrics-wise. his lyrics are almost always beautiful without being far-fetched.

i haven't really checked out VNV Nation since their last two albums. listenened into them a bit and found them boring.... ^^
and yeah, those always-the-same-phrases were going on my nerves, too! *yawn*

this is the first song off the album that grabbed me. I was wishy-washy on the rest of it, but I listened to this over and over and over...

it really is beautful
