This scene, where Methos is killing the bad guys, is my favorite in this episode because I think it gives insight into his real character. He knows no one else can see his true actions/reactions. He doesn't have to pretend to have an empty gun, he is just playing with the guy. Then when he shoots him the look on his face is smugly amused. He must be thinking something like, "Sucker, you don't know who you are dealing with".
I know. I agree. I love this scene. He is so intense and you finally get to see the *real* Methos and understand there is more to him than the person Joe and Duncan sees.
He acts like he wants to run from the bad guys, but he knew he could take care of them.
