Alive!

I have survived my first year of grad school... which still surprises me. And I haven't flunked out, which is also of the good, but we'll see how next year, which will be even more challenging, goes. But for now, I'm pretending it doesn't exist ( Read more... )

Give the new Doctor a try, I didn't think I'd like him but I do, a lot. And Amy is good. And yay for one year down!

Yay indeed! I'm glad to hear that you like Eleven and Amy. I think I will have to give them a try.

Dreading something is usually a good reason not to watch/read it.

True. But it could be because I am really attached to Rose and Donna, and I was never super invested in the Doctor. Plus, my dislike of Moffat makes me skeptical of the show and his constant denigrating of Rose... and women. Ugh.

But I've heard Amy is good...

dislike of Moffat

Which is kind of essential not to have if one wants to watch something he writes, no?

I'm super excited! I really cannot wait for Leverage. I need to know what's going to happen... sigh.

Btw, what'd you think of the Good Wife finale? I'm not sure if you posted on it, because I've been off LJ lately.

I really did like it for the most part, though I ranted a bit about a couple of things. Just, I really hope they deal with the Alicia/Will/Peter triangle of doom early next season because it feels like it's dragging on a bit too long.

Anyway, I did like the episode. Best opening ever with all the sneaking in the back entrance stuff, and then the client who ends up being guilty of murder, and almost getting away with it, if not for Kalinda. I'm interested to see if the hints of police corruption end up affecting Kalinda next season. I really hope Det. Burton is corrupt. :P

Yes, the triangle is definitely dragging on, and the whole "cliffhanger" ending was kind of lame. I really did like Alicia calling Will out and saying that romance is fine and all, but she needs a plan. Is there a particular resolution you're hoping for?

I'm just hoping for more Kalinda/Alicia awesomeness. Those two make the show for me, and their friendship is fantastic. But I also hope Det. Burton is corrupt; I also had big problems with how they've handled Kalinda's sexuality. Like she can kiss the gross detective in public, but the FBI agent has to be behind a door? Lame.

I'm ready! Let's start it now! Okay, USA and TNT? We should totally run the world... or at least, tv programming.

Btw, totally excited about catching up on your fic... even though it tends to break my heart a bit.

I'm doing a bit of a rewatch of the end of season 3 of BN with katcorvi right now as I finally convinced her to start watching and got her addicted. Hee!

Ha, yeah, not many happy fics posted by me lately. Not much at all posted by me lately, come to think of it. Apparently I can't write fic in less than 100 page increments now. Argh.
