I began through a company called Kelly Educational Services - essentially a headhunting organization contracted to supply subs in the Preston school district + Waterford Friendship School. After that, it's as simple as just checking out the web page for each town's department of education. Montville was easy. Waterford had an online application through SchoolSpring.com. East Lyme and New London both didn't advertise positions, so I assume they were full. Hope that helps.

so basically they just want warm bodies? haha i was thinking about maybe trying to sub a day or 2 when i was home for xmas. usually xmas week half the teachers are out and so are the kids so it would be relatively easy and I could def use the extra money. Is there a website where I can apply?

Yeah, if you do a quick search for "Kelly Educational Staffing," it should be easy enough to find. But bewarned: it will cost you $25 to get fingerprinted.
