The night before the big hurricane I had a series of vivid dreams.
( ) are my interpretations.
*All of my New Port Richey friends and I are going into my NPR room to watch OZ dvd’s (moving back home). All of my Gainesville Publix friends are just leaving and can’t stay (moving out of Gainesville). Ashley alone stays to talk. She is not wearing glasses and her hair isn’t straightened (I always like natural). I am sitting Indian style on my bed. She comes up next to me and her knee touches mine. Its uncomfortable but I let it stay for the touch*
*I am racing through water on what seem like radio-controlled boats. The course looks like something out of WaveRace. The other contestants and I are going over things, under things and through things (last halo level except on water). I go down an automated waterslide (from dream I had months ago) I swim over to a calm waterside bar. The sun is setting. A hot, naked girl from a new, unreleased movie with unreal exaggerated perfect proportions is wearing a big diamond necklace from the same movie. I swim up behind her and grope her and tell her how bad I want her. I touch everything but never fully see her face. My hands are covered in soap. We never kiss. Two women I know are watching next to us. The girl sucks my finger but can’t take it too far because she says my finger tastes like soap. She swims away. I exchange lucky glances with the women. I feel great that I actually initiated something with a girl. Some guy walks up to bar (dad).*
*I discover some girls in my apartment. One is named April (Cathy’s roommate). I’m expecting new roommates so it’s not weird. I find out only one of the girls is moving in and it’s the not hot one. They are putting away her clothes. At one point they are both naked for 10 seconds but no one including me does or says anything about it. I assume I imagined it. The new roommate asks if I like 24 hours. I misunderstand her and ask to clarify. After she repeats, I try to explain my love for that show but it comes out all jumbly. The hot girl leaves and talks to some kid down stairs. Drugs comes into the conversation. She asks if I want to do any. She knows a guy (John Travolta) who can get her anything, anytime. Mike Balletta starts spouting out all the effects of the drugs that we talk about.*
*It’s night time and I go to some weird meeting at a big warehouse (to get the drugs?) with mike and some other friends. It turns out that it a bunch of rednecks. They say we have to be initiated. I say no and they try to force. I’m starting to feel helpless since I am way outnumbered but still refuse. Soon they accept my stance and they give me a gun. There’s a knock at the door. It’s three marines who are immediately gunned down I can’t do a thing even though I have a gun because I am surrounded and would just be killed anyway. It freaks me out being so helpless and unable to avenge my fellow serviceman. I run out as fast as I can to a guard station, dropping the gun in the process. The security guard has someone on the radio waiting for me. I tell the person on the radio the story. I can’t hear what he says in response . I go back for the gun I dropped but one of them runs and gets it seconds before me so I had to run away. I start walking towards the big office building and walk around there waiting for the backup. There are few people still there but I am ignored. I see lights on the horizon and run outside to meet the calvary. It’s literally 50-75 police cars. They pull up in fornt of the warehouse and I can hear the firefight start immediately One car is filled with a cop’s family and I convince the mom to turn around and go to the office building, because it’s too dangerous for her kids, even though it might be the last time she sees her husband. She gives me a gun and tells me she hopes it protects me then leaves. On my way up to the warehouse I find another cop car filled with kids and people wondering what to do. I offer to take it out of there but some weird girl takes it since I have a gun and can fight. I blend in with the crazy people and sit in the front corner slowly aiming and picking off the rednecks through the forehead one by one. One person I aimed at turned around just before I pulled the trigger and it was Mike. I tried to think what I would do if I had pulled the trigger and came up with I would have trouble living with myself and would immediately go back to the offices but then realized it wasn’t the time to think of this. I kept going until it took two shots to kill one fat guy and I knew I’d be found out soon. I started walking briskly out of there. Some kids asked me whose gun that is. I ignored him another kid answered for me “that’s Jeff Patch’s gun.” I heard commotion, then shouting behind me. By this point the cops had retreated to the office to rethink strategy because there was a seemingly endless supply of crazy drug rednecks. I made a beeline running to the cops when the rednecks started shooting at me. Then five cops came out in a shooting flying V keeping the rednecks down until I ran through the center of the V to be protected. When all six of us retreated enough at least a hundred cops started shooting machine gun fire in the night at the warehouse and it looked amazing.*
What a great night! Hopefully the hurricane will live up to the coolness of the dreams it gave me.
