Six Arrows Per Minute

Regarding your question about six arrows per minute vs. per second, six arrows per minute is correct, and actually very impressive. If you can shoot six arrows per minute, that means it only takes you ten seconds to get a new arrow from your quiver, load your bow, aim, draw your bow (which is much more difficult than it sounds with the longbows they used in the Battle of Agincourt), and fire.

... Except archers in battle aren't constantly drawing from a quiver. If you look at ancient depictions of archers, you'll quite often see them holding another arrow on standby in their hand while they fire the first one, so they can rapidly reload within one second.
Here's a video of a professional archer going over battlefield-style techniques, and demonstrating the ability to shoot five arrows a second.

Yeeeah. Even when you take into account it's a longbow, I found this video explaining that trained medieval English archers with longbows could "easily shoot 10-12 arrows a minute", or twice what she boasted.
It wouldn't be so bad if this line hadn't come along with "after 100,000 hours of practice you're the best that ever was". If she's going to make that claim, it would be good to know what "the best that ever was" in real life actually is.

I am so tired of this juvenile attempt to be "deep" by bringing up death and loss all the time.
Remember when this used to be a fun show about a man who had the best life ever?
